The North West Cyber Resilience Centre (NWCRC) is proud to announce we have been commissioned to deliver a programme of business resilience support to 300 businesses at a critical time when many have moved online during the pandemic.
Via the Asset Recovery Incentive Scheme, money seized from criminals under the Proceeds of Crime Act is used to fund crime reduction activities that benefit the local community.
The pandemic period showed that 38% of small businesses experienced cyberattacks with statistics reflecting those small businesses – and particularly the self-employed sole trader or micro business – have found themselves at greatest risk and without the budgets to afford relevant cyber support and services.
Using ARIS funding, the NWCRC will help raise awareness of the cyber threats that come with moving online and provide practical support to help protect businesses from online crime. We will run a dedicated programme to improve cyber resilience through assessment, testing, training and education - signposting to free or affordable police and government-backed guidance and tools where required.
