Director of the Cyber Resilience Centre
Detective Superintendent Neil Jones brings over 17 years of Policing experience to the Cyber Resilience Centre. As a Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) and Nationally Accredited Kidnap & Extortion Manager, he has first-hand experience of supporting business victims of Cybercrime.
As the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for Cybercrime for the North West, Neil maintains close links with Greater Manchester Police (GMP), the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) and local forces to provide accessible, consistent government-backed advice, training and support to organisations of all sizes.
Neil’s experience has seen him work across a diverse range of police roles, including Local Policing, Cyber & Economic Crime, Serious & Organised Crime, Criminal Investigations and Public Protection.
In 2014 Neil graduated from Warwick Business School with a Master of Science (MSc) in Leadership & Management.
Managing Director - Manchester Digital
Katie Gallagher is the Managing Director of Manchester Digital, the largest trade body for technology and digital businesses in the North.
Under Katie's leadership, Manchester Digital has made a significant impact on the success of the tech and digital industry in the region, taking a lead on the development of innovative talent and skills projects and currently working to improve the regions' cybersecurity capacity through the Digital Security Centre.
Head of Cyber & Innovation
Detective Inspector Grace Hulse brings over 18 years of Policing experience to the Cyber Resilience Centre. Having worked across a diverse range of roles in policing including; local policing, Cyber & Economic Crime, Child Protection, Domestic Violence and Major Investigations.
Grace maintains close links with Greater Manchester Police (GMP), the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) and local forces to help local forces provide accessible, consistent, government-backed support and training to organisations of all sizes.
Mehran Jalaei (MJ)
Senior Cyber Security Consultant
Mehran is an expert Cyber Security Consultant and is responsible for delivering the CRC's services to businesses and cyber awareness training to members. He manages the CRC's talented team of Junior Cyber Security Consultants and supports the development of a strong cyber student community within the region.
Coming from an engineering background, he has strong problem solving skills that were developed in corporate environments. This means he is able to work with all types of businesses to ensure they put the right measures in place to strengthen their resilience to online crime.
Patrick is our newest recruit having joined us in July 2021. Patrick has been brought on board to develop partnerships with our regional business community, local institutions and trusted partner network to help the centre to meet its commercial objectives.
Patrick has worked in various client-facing sales roles over the past eight years and has been fortunate to work directly with several C-suite clients on some of their most complex and strategically significant projects.
Patrick’s personal dedication to building relationships of trust and customer satisfaction is key to attracting new members and developing partnerships and collaborations with third parties.
Digital Marketing Manager
Jared joined the Centre in September 2020. A former Digital Marketing Manager within the recruitment sector in Preston, Jared has worked across a variety of digital marketing and communications roles and has experience in email marketing, B2B marketing, social media marketing and content creation.
Jared is responsible for overseeing all internal and external communications, public relations, partnerships and promotional campaigns.
