Our latest Greater Manchester Cyber Student Chapter event ‘The First Steps to a Successful Cyber Security Career’ took place on Tuesday the 9th February 2021.
This event is the third event of our student chapter series, aimed at bringing together all students who are studying cybersecurity in Greater Manchester.

Over 50 students from universities across Manchester and the North West came together in a 2-hour online event. It gave them a chance to hear from four senior experts in the industry; Gemma Moore (CREST Executive & Director Cyberis), Matt Ettelaie (Senior Manager, Cyber Defence, KPMG), Oliver Fairbank (Head of Intelligence, Intelligence & Cyber Security, Orpheus Cyber) and David Cannings (Director, PwC).
Each speaker discussed their own career paths including their experiences of; Penetration Testing, Cyber Threat Intelligence & Incident Response.
