Speaker Bios
Fiona Barker, Marsh Commercial
Fiona is a technical specialist in the Cyber & Technology Insurance sector, with extensive knowledge on the financial impact of digital and Cyber risks such as network compromise following a Cyber-attack, having held previous roles with market-leading Cyber & Technology specialist insurance companies. More recently Fiona has been working with Marsh Commercial in an advisory capacity, working with businesses to understand Cyber risk, and how to make practical and effective use of insurance in order to enhance operational and reputational resilience in the current threat landscape.
Neil J Jones, The North West Cyber Resilience Centre
Detective Superintendent Neil Jones brings over 17 years of Policing experience to the Cyber Resilience Centre. As a Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) and Nationally Accredited Kidnap & Extortion Manager, he has first-hand experience of supporting business victims of Cybercrime.
As the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for Cybercrime for the North West, Â Neil maintains close links with Greater Manchester Police (GMP), the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) and local forces to provide accessible, consistent government-backed advice, training and support to organisations of all sizes.
Neil’s experience has seen him work across a diverse range of police roles, including Local Policing, Cyber & Economic Crime, Serious & Organised Crime, Criminal Investigations and Public Protection.
In 2014 Neil graduated from Warwick Business School with a Master of Science (MSc) in Leadership & Management.
Jonathan Brogden, Partner, DAC Beachcroft
Jonathan is a Partner with expertise in banking and finance disputes, Financial Services regulatory investigations and enforcement, civil and criminal fraud and financial crime. He will be speaking about his experiences of, and recent cases relating to, fraud from a fintech angle.
Chris Air, Senior Associate, DAC Beachcroft
Chris is a tech and privacy lawyer, acting for clients across a range of sectors including financial services. He will be briefly discussing data security and wider legal issues concerning fintech and fraud.
