Irwin Mitchell joins the North West Cyber Resilience Centre as a Founding Partner

The North West Cyber Resilience Centre (NWCRC) is delighted to announce our newest Founding Partner as Graham Thomson, Chief Information Security Officer for Irwin Mitchell.

Graham has been with Irwin Mitchell for nearly four years, having previously worked for The Hut Group, Think Money Group, Aviva & more. Graham is responsible for all aspects of information & cybersecurity, and data insights & analytics for the group.

“The cyber threat has never been as high, with cybercriminals as well as nations states taking advantage of the pandemic to carry out highly damaging activities in cyberspace. There has never been such an important time for businesses to be aware of the threat, and to do the rights things to protect themselves.“

Graham describes himself as a battle-hardened cyber-warrior with over 20 years’ experience at the sharp end. He has in-depth industry knowledge covering intelligence, cybersecurity, technology risk, incident response and serious crime investigations.

Graham Thomson commented: “Joining the Cyber Resilience Centre and becoming a Founding Partner is a great way for Irwin Mitchell to give back, to support Policing and the Greater Manchester Digital Strategy, and really help our communities be better protected against the persistent onslaught of cybercrime. We will also play an important part in helping upskill the next generation of cyber-warriors and increase their employability into this fast-growing sector. The Cyber Resilience Centre plays a key role in supporting businesses in Greater Manchester to strengthen their shields against cyber threats.
